The weather was something fantastic today - in Wisconsin we usually miss out on any extended period of weather in the 60s...but today was a sunny, wonderful exception.
Ducks took a last celebratory turn around the Veteran's Park lagoon.
The last joggers and kite-flyers were out in full force.
The last yellowing leaves clung onto their trees with the last breath of autumn.
Fall is happening outside of my Dad's living room...the trees are so yellow that when the sun shines into the room the whole place is filled with a warm golden yellow glow. I took a picture of it so that when it's snowy and about 20 degrees below zero outside, I will remember how much I actually like living in a frozen tundra...when it's not so frozen.

Ale baked this amazing, amazing fruit tart from scratch (as in, made the crust and all) and it came out delicious- more delicious than most store bought tarts I've tried in my day. What an awesome way to celebrate the end of the work week!
In Milwaukee, we love us a good rendition of "Roll out the Barrel." Here, the bartenders and last few customers at Halliday's bar on Farwell get into the spirit and polka their way through the song just as the bar closed for the night.
It's only August here, but the weather has sort of given up on us- and apparently, so have the trees! This one has already waved the theoretical white flag and started turning red for the fall.
I always thought that if everyone is taking the path less traveled, that eventually it would become well worn. This well worn path is West of Grafton, at the Blue Lotus Farms.
Yep. It's back being warm and summer-like again. I think mother nature needs to stop PMSing and get with the program: pick a season and stick with it. Maybe I shouldn't complain though, because it's nice not to be wearing a parka in October.
It hit rather suddenly this year, going from a toasty 80 degrees down to 50's and low 60's...it's supposed to be warm and summer-like again this weekend. Damn climate change.
