
Checked out the Cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden today. The park was full of families with little kids and people just enjoying the wonderful weather. I went with a group of friends who all met each other through Japanese language classes at NYU (and thusly have formed their own social group they call Japanglish). We snacked on
Onigiri and
Mochi cake and then went to catch an art exhibit at the
Brooklyn Museum featuring the work of
Murakami, who specializes in weird pop-art. Below is a piece of Mochi cake, which I was really taken with. Hopefully it was taken with me too.
